The purpose of the web site:

is for data subjects (natural persons) seeking career opportunities to
store their personal information in the format of Curriculum Vitae
(CV’s) on the web site free of charge for purposes of allowing
authorised third parties to access, collect, collate, process, and
download the information and for employees to use and placement agencies to
disclose such information to prospective employers (“the disclosed purpose”);

is for employers, or placement agencies, as third parties, who have
selected one of the paying packages offered by the owner of the web site
or service provider to access, collect, collate, process, download and use the
personal information to seek, or offer employment to the data subjects.

The provisions of the Electronic Communications And Transactions Act 2002 (Act
25 of 2002), hereafter referred to as the ECT Act, are applicable to
this web site, and the use thereof, and without limiting the generality
of the aforegoing, specifically the following provisions:

the definitions of data controller, data subject, personal information, third
party, and web site
in Section 1 Chapter 1;

the legal requirements for data messages
in Part 1 of Chapter III;

the principles or provisions relating to the communication of data messages
in Part 2 of Chapter III;

the consumer protection measures in Chapter IV;
-
the measures for protecting personal information
in Chapter VIII;

the limitation by agreement of the liability of the owner of the web site
as service provider in terms of Chapter XI.

personal information of a data subject for any career related purpose involving
the data subject, as is required in terms of Section 51 of the ECT Act.

The service provider or data controller shall keep a record of third
parties to whom, and of the date on which, the personal information
of a data subject
was disclosed.

The data subject is obliged to request the data controller to
delete or destroy personal information of the data subject, which
has become obsolete.
